Bloomteq and Innovation Center Banja Luka (ICL) Launch AI FORWARD Project to Strengthen AI Capabilities Among SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bloomteq and Innovation Center Banja Luka, in partnership with, have started implementation of the AI FORWARD project, an ambitious initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions.
The project aims to enhance AI adoption among local businesses through educational programs, specialized training for IT professionals, and tailored support for implementing AI tools in daily business operations. Special focus will be given to export-oriented enterprises and women-led businesses.
Project outcomes over 15 months
During its 15-month implementation period, AI FORWARD will deliver:
- Training and mentorship for at least 180 individuals in AI applications
- Development of at least three new AI services for enterprises
- Implementation of AI solutions in 10 selected companies
- Launch of AI academy programs in Banja Luka and Sarajevo as permanent educational resources for the business community

The AI FORWARD project is implemented with financial support from the EU and the Government of Germany (BMZ), supported within the EU Private Sector Development Initiative – EU4PSD, which is part of the broader GIZ SEDEP program additionally funded by the Swiss government.
